Bags may not burst or deflate when they get damaged, but it certainly would be an awful waste to see a designer bag get damaged or tarnished from any kind of damage. Make sure that your bags are in a safe place where it would not get into harm's way whether from human error or natural factors. You pay a lot of money to be able to have your very own travel bags; it is only fitting that you too should make sure that it doesn't get damaged.
2. Do not stuff too much baggage in them.
Most bags usually have certain and specific weight capacities for different sizes and makes. Depending on the material, strength and design of the bag, it could be capable of storing weights up to fifty kilograms or more. However, you should not go beyond the weight limit of your bag, because well, it is not designed to handle excessive amounts of weight. Your bag would sooner or later give in, starting at the weaker points of the bag like at the handles or at the canvas where it is vulnerable of ripping apart or something like that.
3. When it's not in use, make sure you store it somewhere that it'll be safe.
Keep your luggage bags in your closet or store room when not in use. Don't just leave it anywhere around your house if you would want to keep it in good condition. Finding the right place to store them is also equally just as important because after all if you store them anywhere, it might be susceptible to water damage, mold or other factors that may cause it some considerable amount of damage.
